2018 Flower Show
Although we've had fantastic sunshine this Summer it did mean it was
a job and a half keeping up with keeping the pots and gardens watered.
A couple of heavy downpours and high winds meant that a lot of the flowers destined for the Show had flowered and faded or been weather beaten by the time the date arrived, meaning we received reduced entries this year.
The display tables and shelves weren't as full as they normally are but we received some goodly specimens.
Well done to those who managed to rustle up plants and garden produce to enter what they could.
Many were so disappointed at not have anything to enter but the Hall was certainly
filled with welcome colour and heady fragrance.
Thanks to all the exhibitors.
The Committee and small bank of volunteers did a grand job running the Show and all help was very much appreciated.
The photographs this year were kindly taken by Gillian Cassie and we hope everyone enjoys browsing them in the slideshow below.
Many thanks Gillian, they're stunning and very colourful.
