Summer Visit to Tillypronie Gardens
2014
After our visit in the morning to a garden in Rhynie where we explored the individual themed gardens in the wind and rain, we travelled over to Tillypronie where the sun made a very welcome appearance.
The gardeners at Tillypronie were on hand to show us around the marvellous grounds which have super views over the Dee Valley and towards Clachnaben. Our members enjoyed walking around the varied gardens which contain herbaceous, alpine and heather and rose beds. We spent time wandering through the great collection of trees, including Acers, Pine and rare species. It was lovely to see such a wide selection of garden produce in the fruit garden and greenhouses. At the end of the visit, members were treated to lashings of homemade cakes and tea/coffee. |
