2017 - Spring Bulb Show
Photos and Prizewinners
Spring is well and truly upon us.
This was reflected in the increase in number of entries for our Mini Bulb Show this year.
Also it was very encouraging to see some Members having a go and entering blooms plundered from their gardens for the first time.
The entries were judged by our speaker for the evening, Jane Taylor from Deveron Waterlilies,
who gave a very interesting and informative talk on the Beauty and Benefits of Waterlilies.
Many thanks Jane.

Many thanks Jane.
I think some of our Members might turn their hand to have a go at making a small pond out of a container
and planting it up with miniature waterlilies and other aquatic plants.
All this will go a long way to encouraging wildlife to thrive in our gardens.
Speaking at the end of the evening, Jane and her husband commented on what a lovely
group we have here in Ballater and said she'd thoroughly enjoyed herself.
So, thank you everyone for making them so very welcome.

We had a glorious display as shown in these photographs and even the tea table was decorated by Morag with lovely blooms
