Village Tub Planting
It's that time of year again!
The tubs of Spring bulbs, a new initiative which gave a splendid splash of colour around Ballater in
March, April and May,
have been emptied and replaced with lots of lovely summer bedding.

On the second Monday in June lots of work was done by just three people on what proved to be quite a cool dismal day. Senga, Colin and Jim worked tirelessly all afternoon to plant up the tubs around the Station Square, the Church and Bridge Street. |
Jim was also kept very busy ferrying back and forth all the trays of plants - No mean feat considering how many are needed to fill all the tubs. The huge array of healthy plants was once again kindly donated by Aberdeenshire Council Landscape Department to whom we are very grateful. |
The following day, Jim and Colin's dedication was there for all to see, when they turned their attention to brightening up the Carvavan Park by planting the tubs in the pouring rain.
The efforts of Senga, Jim and Colin over these two days are much appreciated by all.
Thank you.

When the plants start to fill out and colour up we'll take more photos and publish them on this page.
Please come back and check them out soon.
